Soil Elemental Testing

Soil Elemental Testing

Protect your family and garden from hidden soil contaminants with our soil elemental testing service. Whether you’re planting a vegetable garden, landscaping, or simply ensuring safe play areas for children and pets in your private or public playground, our testing service is essential to identify harmful metal levels in soil.

Why Test for Heavy Metals in Soil

Heavy metals, such as lead and mercury, can accumulate in soil over time from sources like old paint, industrial pollution, and nearby traffic. Our testing provides peace of mind, ensuring your outdoor spaces are safe from these hidden hazards.

Service coverage

The results will focus on lead, mercury, cadmium, antimony, and arsenic, among other metals.  Other chemicals (e.g. iron, manganese) will be reported based on the content in the soil. The testing results will be compared to the Soil Quality Guidelines limits of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment (CCME).

If you have a large outdoor area to be tested, it is recommended to collect several soil samples. Up to two samples are included in the price.
